How do I become registered to OKA (Ontario Kinesiology Association)
Any student that graded after 2014 doing degree in Kinesiology is by law required to register to OKA and complete exam test to be considered Kinesiologist to practice as Kin. BS!!!
I know! I said the same thing. When I first enrolled most the senior year students didn't have to do it. Unfortunately for me the law came just in time when I was about to complete my senior years. I've not met anyone yet that completed the exam from my school. Most of the student in my course ended up pursuing their studies in medical schools, switched programs, drop out, or found passion outside of kin or considered teaching physical education as career.
I m still interested in pursing my career in sport medicine and in the pathway to my completion. I am doing self researcher and acquiring helpful information for senior Kinesiologist / health professionals advice to help people like me with information to get registered.
I've developed step by step tools to get you started. You my still have questions that need to be answered such as:
Are there any information available for me to get ready?
How is the exam structured?
Plan B options to prep for the exam
Should I consider Master in Kinesiology?
