Videographer & DJ

How many Djs can you hire in your event that comes with Photographer & Videographer package as one man show? I Will wait!

DJ Yung-E has proven to cover your sounds and visual and capture an everlasting memory.

No wonder they call him ROSS BEST DJ, such a heavy and honourable title that we had to get an inclusive interview with the man behind the idea.

Welcome DJ Yung-E, we are happy to have you as our special feature this week. We have seen your snap, followed your work on Instagram, and heard great reviews from your nightlife events. Please introduce yourself to our readers!

Tell us about yourself ( who is DJ Yung-E and when you started your Djing career)?

My real name is Emmanuel, South Sudanese (Juba to be exact) born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. I began my Djing career when I was about 15 years old and now I’m 24 years old close to be 25

Who were the most influential Dj in your life growing up?

I would say my brother of course, DJ Baba Abui and other DJs like Mistah-J, Onax, Gio, Fully Focus, Issa. And the list can go on.

What inspired your DJ/photograph professional career?

Music has always been in me. In 2010, I moved to Grand Island, NE where lived with my older brother who was actually before me. While I stayed with him, I just got hooked into it and learned to mix music. As for photography I started getting into that around 2013. My very first camera I ever owned was a Cannon T3i. I've been taking pictures since then.

As a Dj we know you play big part in any events. Bassically a party can not start without ROSS BEST DJ in the house. What is (are) you most memorable moment(s) as Dj ?

I would definitely say Miss South Sudan 2011 in Dallas just because that was the first biggest gig I ever did and it all just took off from there.

How did your the photography & Videography service came about? How do manage both and still put good show as DJ?

It’s all about capturing the moment and how that came about I always felt like as a DJ there was something missing and I always like learning new things I thought I’d give it a try and here we are.

What is one track that never gets old for you no matter how many times you hear it?

I would just say any throwback from Congo, you can never go wrong with those tracks. I’m sure every person from the 80’s or 90’s (Even further back) can relate, its just what we grew up listening to.

What is one subgenre you think doesn't get the attention it deserves?

I would say East African Music, I mean we have such great music and that’s starting from home all the way to Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and so on.

There’s a ton of producers out there. What makes DJ Yung-E stand out?

Everyone is usually more attracted to the way I mix so I’m just gonna go with that.

What advice would you give to aspiring DJs?

An advice that I’d give is that just be original and never hesitate to try different genres of music.

What other project(s) are you currently working on ?

Nothing on the table for now but I’m always full of surprises so you’ll never know

What can we expect from you in the next 2 years or so?

Whatever door God opens for me but soon I’ll be more focused on Videography.

Who are other talented DJs or artists you would hope to collaborate with?

Most definitely Major Lazer!
