In early 2018, LOTI began creating the next wave of releases which included songs such as “Better”, "Control Me" & "Queen". His soulful R&B tone and unique music had captured the hearts of many fans across Canada. As a result, his music ranked over 100,000 streams across all streaming platforms. Shorty after the success of the single “Queen”, LOTI gain massive airplay on Canadian radio stations including:The Move 93.5FM and G98.7FM in Toronto, CKCU 93.1FM in Ottawa, The Hawk 101.5FM in Hamilton and CTJR 93.1FM in Regin just to name a few.
In this exclusive interview, we had the privilege on exploring highlights of LOTI music career. Plus, we got an scope behind the inspiration of his latest single released "GIMME BODY". Tell us about yourself I am originally from Nigeria but based in Toronto, I represents the synthesis of R'n'B/Soul & Afrobeats. In early 2018, I began creating the next wave of releases which included songs such as “Better”, "Control Me" & "Queen" - many of which have graced coveted blogs such as ThisIs50, Boi1da.com, & Hip Hop Canada to name a few. I began making a name for myself after the release of my summer single "Queen" which premiered on Spotify’s “New Music Friday Canada". The song was received by tens of thousands of new listeners and eventually amassed about 100,000 streams across all streaming platforms. The success of the single “Queen” helped me gain massive airplay on Canadian radio stations national wide. With no intention of slowing down, I am focusing on continuing my journey with the aim of growing my fanbase. Plus, plotting out my next series of releases in 2019.
What is the inspiration behind your latest single ? "Gimme Body" was inspired by a special muse in my life so just know it came from a special place.

Who inspired your music career? A lot of things in my life inspired me to pursue a career in music. Lets just say I don't want to live a life doing something I don't love or I'm not passionate about.
Who are your biggest influences in the music right now ? I listen to a lot of music from different genres so its a bit tough to pick one but I'm really feeling Wizkid, I like Future a lot, definitely Drake and of course, Jigga!
For most artiste fashion plays a big part in their artistry. So what is LOTI go to fashion tips? Came through dripping.. drip! drip!!
You are talented Artist, which song(s) have you written is (are) your favorite and why ? Every song I've written is my favourite song, it's hard for me to choose one. Actually I lied, there's one right now but its not out yet, I'm thinking about releasing it on my birthday, probably going to be my summer single. I haven't stopped listening to it since the day I made it. It's too fire trust me.. there's no way you won't like this one.
What is (are) your most memorable moment (s) as a artist thus far and why? For the first time last year Spotify play listed my song "Queen" on their "New Music Friday Canada" playlist. That helped push my music to a whole new audience and even did 10k streams in the first week.That was my first 10k ever and it meant a lot at that time, I was really overwhelmed by the love. The song is now over 30k and is also gaining rotation on Canadian radio.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out their music career and hoping to make it in the industry? Be passionate, patient and always stay persistent. Above everything put God first and always trust him.
What can we expect from you in the next 2 years or so? More music, move visuals and overall growth as an artist. I also want to be able to connect with my supporters so I'll be doing more shows this summer so look out for that.
Who are other talented singers, songwriters, fashion stylist you would hope to collaborate with? I'm really open to working with anyone. For me it's all about coming together and making great music with like minded people. I already got some features and collabs with some really dope artists in Canada that would be dropping this summer so stay tuned.
