Tell us about yourself

My name is Maryanne Mbuya and I offer matchmaker service for business owners. As an offer matchmaker, I act as the bridge between my clients and their perfect customers. I help them to structure their offers and create systems that help them to scale their businesses plus provide coaching service too. Thus, this makes me an offer matchmaker, integrator, and a coach for business owners.

What is the inspiration behind your brand ? and what service are you currently offering ?

Just being able to drop money on my clients' laps. I love helping people. Thus, if my brand can help people make more money in ways they never thought possible then that's what drives me and my brand. I have three services currently:

  • Coaching program where I show entrepreneurs to find leads for themselves.

  • Creating and structuring offers and then coming up with systems to tie everything in place. Here's where my love for copy and marketing comes to life.

  • Offer matchmaking, here, I take over the clients' sales process infuse it with mine and help them bring in the right leads and sometimes customers for what they're selling.

Who inspired you to get into copy writing career as an entrepreneur?

I first learned copy from Neil Patel, then I met a guy named Andrew Walton who worked for Neil Patel. After that all my 7 years in sales started making sense. I knew what people wanted, I just didn't know all the juicy reasons why they bought.

You see, my first year in sales at my then 9-5, was really tough. There was rejection. I faced objections. I just didn't understand what the clients wanted. So, I spoke a lot, said too much unnecessary stuff when I was trying to sell to clients that they ended up either not buying or buying just so they wouldn't crush my spirit. But, when I started learning copywriting, I understood that if I provide my prospects with too much information, they'd get confused, and a confused mind never takes action. Armed with that simple truth, I started to say the right thing at the right time and ended up being one of the best sales executives for the company I worked for.

Provide us three things that your brand is known for and how can someone aquire your service ?

More sales, Clarity, and consistency. To work with me visit my website at www.maryannembuya.com or via email @maryannembuya.com. Plus I'm on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram too.

Are there any areas in your field of expertise you think receive little attention then they should’ve?

I don't see any area that receives little attention in my field. I'm only crushed by how those who deem themselves to be the gurus of the industry bring down those who are starting out. The true gurus, on the other hand, are truly helpful, the only problem is that they have a lot on their plates so it's hard or costly to get their attention.

You are talented writer and content creator. What is or are your favourites work so far and why ?

I've done website copies, written hundreds of blog posts that drove traffic to my clients' websites, and the most recent was helping one of my clients make $22k in one and a half weeks by simply matching her offers to her perfect clients. Knowing that I can get my clients more of what they want makes me so happy.

What is (are) your most memorable moment (s) as a artist thus far and why?

The way I got into the online space. I heard a rumor that the company I was working for was going to downsize or get out of the market. That same night, I went to the internet and started looking for ways to make money online. I found many options including transcription and article writing as they are commonly known by many here in Kenya.

I bought both courses the same night. After two weeks of learning from my phone, I decided to buy a laptop and find an affordable internet solution. I found out I didn't like transcription so I stuck my neck out to content creation. I made some money and invested it into an advanced digital marketing program. After about a year, I noticed that I was making good money online than I was in my 9-5. 2 years later, the rumor that the company would downsize came true. Being one of the best in sales, my job wasn't affected but I felt it was time for me to leave. So, I turned down the offer. 1 year later, and I'm still happy with my decision.

Best decision indeed! So what advice would you give to someone just starting out their entrepreneurship and hoping to make it in the industry?

Nothing is easy, but it is not so hard that you can't do it. So many of us go through life thinking that there's someone we need to blame for how things turn out in our lives. For some of us, that someone is our parents or a distant relative. For some, that is the society, the environment, their friend... we point fingers at everyone else but ourselves. The truth is that the demon holding our feet from moving forward is within us. The faster you're willing to acknowledge that and seek help, the easier it is to go after your dreams and crush them.

What can we expect from you in the next 2 years or so?

More clients coming in--enough to provide room for someone else to grow with me. I'm prayerful and ambitious and you can expect these two to take me in places where I can change and impact lives.

Who are other talented entrepreneurs you would hope to collaborate with?

You, of course (I appreciate your warmth), Neil Patel, Christian Mickelsen, Samoa Blanchet, Tony Robbins, Jeweliet Tangen, Robert Burale, Dr. Wale Akinyemi.

You are most welcome! Thank you so much for being our wonderful guest feature today on NEECEE LEXY blog. We look forward in featuring you in the near future. Feel free to reach us back at anytime.
