This is part 2 of my Instagram mini-series. Today you will be learning some basic setup for Instagram business or creator account. I am going to show you step by step exactly how you can do it yourself. Plus, how to drive traffic to the website, increase sell, get audience insights.
This is a beginner guidlines with a Step by Step Tutorial to create your Instagram business account to make Money.
You want to have an account that gives your more feature and call to actions such as Booking, Location, Email, Contact us etc. Instagram for business gives you more tools and insights which I will be showing in just a few seconds.
In order to convert your personal Instagram account to an Instagram business account, you will need to create a business Facebook page. It's very important to have it moving forward with this tutorial. Please take 5 minutes to create your business page if you do not have one already and come back in a few minutes to this post. However, for those of you who got a business page already. Fantastic! Let's get started shall well :D.
Once your Facebook page is done.
You click on the 3 bars in the top right.
Go down to Settings on the button. In the settings menu, you will see a lot of different recommendations, notifications adjustment, and privacy settings.
Keep going down to account click on it ---> Click the switch to professional account to a business profile or creator profile.
For those who are visual learners, here is a break down of what we have just spoken about above. Once, you reach the page that says " Which Best Describes you? We can then move to step 2.
In this step, you need to select one of the following options types for your business account: Creator or Business. I will breakdown what each option has to offer which one aligns with your business goals.
This is for authors,s singer, content producers or YouTubers, influencers, or public figures. Select this creator option only if your business model or brand falls under it.
This suits individuals who have retail, e-commerce, local business shops, brands, organization, schools, provide products or services. If you are an influencer with products and services I highly recommend selecting business options instead because it offers you more tools to advance your business goals.
Benefits of having Instagram for a business account
It provides you with access to analytics, launch a sponsor post/promotional ads, Sell product straight from the Instagram page. Moreover, you have the ability to add call and email CTAs to your profile.
Note: You can undo this process! After you are done, a ‘Return to Personal Account’ option will replace the ‘Switch to Business Account’ link in your settings.

Remember I asked you to have a Facebook business page ready. In this last step, we are going to connect your Business Facebook page with the new Instagram business account. It's an important step because it will allow you to share your Instagram post and Instagram stories on the Facebook page. Plus, you can easily run sponsored through Facebook page ads manager.
Select a category: Facebook is going to ask to select a category that best reps your business or service category.
Contact info: Make sure to add all the irrelevant contact information and business details. You are officially done creating your business Instagram for a business page.
