How to successfully promote your online business

To my startup, entrepreneur and business owners reading this post. I am glad you came to the right place to gain some insightful tips on how you can promote your business online. As an experienced Digital Marketer I help a wide range of businesses and brands drive high profitable income from campaign promotions to content creation strategy. In my 6 years of experience doing promotion, here is a list of tasks " how to successfully promote your online business" at any stage.

Speak at events

It's essential for any entrepreneur or business owner to make their presence felt at a conference or speaking engagement. You have a great opportunity to pitch your business to a large audience or promote your brand to the right audience. Most conferences are industry specific so the chances of being in the right place at the right time are higher. Plus, you will network with like-minded individuals or share ideas with like-minded communities. Lastly, you can engage with influencers and collaborate to expand your brand service or product.

Include powerful CTA

For those of you who do not what CTA is? It's a short acronym stands for "call to action" to allow users to take necessary actions such as: contact us, learn more, get a quote etc. When you are doing any social media intereaction or writing an email make sure to include these powerful calls to actions. For instance, you can add a hypertext or links to your email signature with your social media handles. When you are creating blog posts or website landing pages make sure to include your social sharing buttons: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Youtube etc. Ideally speaking you want to go with the most popular social channels.





Use mixed media

You need to combine your talent across multiple digital media outlets in order to promote your business. This method will help you reach a wider audience depending on the medium source they are using to get your brand message. For example, some prefer watching youtube videos, others listen to a podcast, while few are more visual so Instagram is a must. Lastly, some prefer social engagement and discussion form. Therefore, combining your efforts by using mixed media, vlogging, creating a weekly newsletter is a must-have.

Get serious about your orangic search with SEO

When you are considering publishing a blog post, article or simply social content. You have to make sure you are taking into consideration your keyword research, write alt text, blog, and optimize your meta tags. You also need to make sure your internal links are well placed and gain some backlinks from high authority sites. I also make sure all my content has SEO optimization both on the website and youtube.

Learn from your competitors

Regardless of how new or old you are in the business world, you have a competitive market. It's important to understand how your competitors are succeeding in the industry. What is their best practice or digital media strategies, how frequently are they posting on social media? Once you get a grasp on how they operate or display their online marketing strategy. It's time to apply it and give it a test run. Do not copy their content word for word, that's unethical. Try to put some personalization and make it original. For example, if your competitor is doing social media contests to generate engagement. You design your own social media contest too. However your prize, rules, and content of the contest would be different from theirs. The idea here is a contest for engagement but how you conduct is completely unique to your audience.

Create cool visuals like infographics and charts

You need to provide your audience with WOW factor promotional content. Therefore, it's important to have cool visual content, whether is images or videos. There are so many applications out there to help you design outstanding infographic text and graphic visuals.
